Options to transfer payroll data from Quickbooks desktop to Quickbooks Online

I need advice on how to migrate all my payroll data from Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2019 to Quickbooks Online.  I did the Quickbooks migration, but found out that payroll did not migrate.

I want to transfer all the payroll data that is currently in Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2019 - is there an app out there that will do this?

NOTE - I do subscribe to Intuit QB Enhanced Payroll Service - there must be a way to transfer the data from there.

Hi there, @Rydjor.

 

Yes, you're correct. The option to move payroll data from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is unavailable. 

 

Right now, you'll need to enter past year-to-date payroll info for each employee in QBO. Once you finish setting up your payroll, you can now start creating paychecks.

 

You can also search for a third-party app that would help you move your payroll data into QBO. Simply search it here: https://desktop.apps.com/home
