Question

pay stubs

When I allow an employee to access workforce to view pay stubs, the pay stub they can print looks like a check.

I am concerned that will be potential fraud if an employee prints a stub on an actual blank check.

Can I change the pay stub to where it does not have the top portion (the check portion) on their stub?

Hello there, @treyes1.

Customizing pay stubs is currently unavailable in QuickBooks. The unusual appearance of the pay stub when printing may be related to a browser issue. QuickBooks can sometimes be affected by a build-up cache, which can impact browsing performance.

To address this, access your QuickBooks using an incognito window or private browser. This mode doesn't retain browsing history, which can help resolve software problems such as errors and missing features.

Here are some shortcut keys you can use as a guide:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N  for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Firefox
  • Control + Option +P if you're using Safari

When the pay stub no longer looks like a check, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. To avoid unexpected errors when printing pay stubs, it is recommended to remove old data. Another solution to address this problem is to switch to a supported browser that is compatible with the printing function.
