Pay with direct deposit doesn't work

When I choose "Pay with direct deposit" from the Contractors list the dropdowns for bank account and category don't populate.  They worked once on one contractor and now it doesn't work on any others.

I know a possible reason why paying with a direct deposit is unavailable on your end, dmartineau.

 

You've mentioned that you're able to pay contractors with direct deposit before. If your payroll service is still active, you can pay them using this payment method. Since the option to pay contractors via direct deposit is missing in your case, I recommend contacting our online payroll support. This way, our representative can pull up your account and will be able to see if you have an active Contractor Payments/payroll service bundled in your plan and be able to set it up for you.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. In your QBO account, select Help (?)
  2. Choose the Search tab.
  3. At the bottom of your screen, click Contact Us.  
  4. Type your concern. Then click Continue
  5. You may choose CallbackAppointment, or Chat as your way to connect with us. 
  6. Kindly fill out the provided field such as your First nameLast nameEmail address, and Phone number. 
  7. Depending on what you choose as your way to connect with us, click CallbackSchedule an appointment, or Chat. 

 

You can also pay your contractors in QuickBooks Online using QuickBooks Bill Pay as an alternative.

This is a bug.  I'm a web developer and can see that the dropdowns are not populating.  If you start typing into the field the context help populates and if you type the exact information needed and submit it, everything goes through.  

I will follow your suggestion and try and contact support.

Quickbooks support was able to help me.  She had me try the screen in Chrome+Incognito mode and it worked.  She then had me do CTRL+Refresh while on the list of contractors page.  This cleared something and it works now.
