Question

Payment notifications are filling up my inbox and I can just view them on the QB Online app, I don't need them cluttering up my email. Where the heck do turn them off?

Why is it so hard? It should be an easy process to turn on and off notifications on your phone or desktop. This app is starting to seem too expensive for all the issues with it frankly.

Don't sweat, @meg16. I've got your back on turning off payment notifications in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can log in to your Merchant Service Center account using a web browser and turn off the payments notification from there. Here's how:

  1. In your Merchant account, click the Processing Tools drop-down and select Manage Recurring Payments.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Select No to stop the system from emailing.
  4. Once done, you'll see a green text saying Saved Settings.

I'm adding this article for more details: Turn on or off Customer Notification Emails for Recurring Payments.

Also, just in case you want to learn about mobile payments in QuickBooks, you can feel free to read this article for detailed information: Get started with QuickBooks mobile payments.

Please know that I'm just a reply away if you need any further assistance in managing payments notification. Wishing you and your business continued success.

Thank you, but is it the same for non-recurring payments? I didn't see that option.

Hi meg16,

Yes, it's the same. It for the notifications every time you receive payments from your customers or every time they are charged.

I can see that Mark has already provided a reference article. If you need more help, just comment below.
