what categories do i bifurcate to add a california employees' payroll into quickbooks online

 

Example, fed tax, medicare, state etc?

I don't think you need any new accounts.  QB tracks things by agency using payroll items in the online payroll offering, with no real need to also split the liabilities and expenses by account.
