It would be nice if the option is available. However, the Employees section on the dashboard is a built-in feature that QuickBooks Online (QBO) offers. Removing or making it inactive isn't possible. You can simply disregard or ignore it. 

To know more about your Home Dashboard, you can visit: Get started and adjust settings after you sign up for Quickbooks Online.
