I am having the same issue.  Is there something wrong with Quickbooks payroll?  I can not get ahold of support?

I'm determined to improve your impression of our support, @Heather Benson @kernersauto

We know how critical each paycheck is to your team. We were alerted to a third-party issue with direct deposit processing this morning that has delayed the deposit of employees' paychecks into their accounts.

I'd like to inform you that the issue has been resolved and your employees should expect to see the funds available in their bank account by end of the day today. Please visit this page to know the latest updates and information on the issue: QuickBooks Status

Thank you for your patience as we focus to ensure your employees’ funds are available as soon as possible. Also, don't hesitate to click the Reply button if you have follow-up questions about your payroll . I'm happy to answer them. Be safe.

My online direct deposit did not deduct from bank

September 23, 2022

Good morning,

Payroll was submitted on Wednesday and it did not pull from business account or get deposited into employees accounts.

Update: It went through

September 29, 2023

My employees have not been paid although it shows that they have on the system.  No deposits have been made to their accounts and no funds have been drawn from mine.  I was on the phone for over an hour last night with tech support who had just as much knowledge as I did regarding payroll, it is showing scheduled and paid.  Can anyone assist.

Hello there, @Medi-liftnem. I'm here to provide insights and additional information about your direct deposit issue in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I appreciate you sharing information about your concern. In QBO, there are several things you need to check to ensure your employee will receive their pay via direct deposit.

To start, let's verify the direct deposit funding time of your payroll service. For QBO Payroll, the lead times are:

  • Same-day lead time
  • Next-day or 1-day lead time
  • 5-day lead time

You can read this article for more details: When to send your direct deposit payroll.

Additionally, direct deposits are only processed on banking days. That said, federal holidays can also affect your send times. For reference, check out this link: How do federal holidays affect my direct deposit?

However, if it is verified that the above scenario is not the reason for your employee not receiving their salary, I recommend reaching out again to our Payroll support team. Since you've already contacted them, you can provide your previous case number from the recent conversation you had with the previous agent. This way, they can further investigate this issue and provide a resolution to fix this.

Should you need further help in managing your payroll in QuickBooks, please don't hesitate to leave a reply below. I'd be here to provide a prompt response.
