Payroll electronic tax payments showing up as checks to be printed

When I process my payroll payment to my employees quick books automatically notifies me to pay my payroll taxes electronically. This goes through ok and matches up to my bank. But quick books is holding the payment in the checks to be printed area. And I see them every time I print checks.

The issue is already reported to our engineers. It's under investigation.

 

While we're waiting for a fix, I suggest reaching out to our payroll support so you'll be added to the list of affected users. Here's how:

  1. Click Help inside QuickBooks Online.
  2. Enter "I need a human" in the Type something field.
  3. Click Get help from a human.
  4. Enter "Electronically Paid Tax Payment for Payroll is showing as to Print" in the description field, then click Continue.
  5. Select either Chat or Callback.
