Payroll Error Message: You must either enter the hours worked or compensation amounts, or clear the checkbox to exclude employee from this payroll run.

I want to make sure that you can pay your employee on time, @deniseknox. 

Allow me to provide some insights about  your payroll concern. If there's a payroll item in the paycheck details, ensure that there's a certain work time amount. However, if you're not using the payroll item you can remove it. 

If the issue persists, then you're likely experiencing a browser-related issue.  I recommend performing some of the basic troubleshooting steps.  Start by using or switching to an incognito or private browsing session. Use these keyboard shortcuts to open one depending on the browser that you're using:

• Ctrl + Shift + N  for Google Chrome
• Ctrl + Shift + P for Firefox
• Control + Option +P if you're using Safari
