Payroll for paid-on-call ambulance service with additional earnings per call
Working on setting up QBO for the payroll of a rural paid-on-call ambulance service.
With this service, EMS personnel are paid an hourly rate to be on-call and available. If there is a 911 call, they get paid an additional flat-rate per call they respond to. These additional earnings get treated the same as hourly earnings for payroll deduction purposes.
There will often be zero calls in a day, but some days there could be several - so for for each paycheck they could earn any number of stipends.
What is the best way to get these additional earnings added to the paychecks in QBO? Ideally showing the quantity and rate on the paystub, similar to how hourly wages are shown.
