When shifting from QBDT to QBO, paychecks are moved as regular checks to ensure financial accuracy, AP90. I'll give you some additional information with regard to your concern below.

After the migration from QBDT to QBO was done, instead of transferring detailed payroll transactions, paychecks were converted into regular checks. This method preserves the total amounts for the current year's payroll data, ensuring that overall financial reports remain accurate.

However, it's important to note that the details behind these transactions do not transfer. This means that while the lump sum amounts are correctly represented, the enumerated breakdown of each paycheck, which includes specific payroll items, tax withholdings, deductions, and contributions isn't carried over to QBO.

As a result, certain payroll-specific information, such as vacation hours or detailed payroll item breakdowns, will not be visible in reports like the Profit & Loss statement for the period before the migration. This approach balances between maintaining financial accuracy and managing the complexities of transferring intricate payroll data between different systems.

Users who require detailed historical payroll information may need to refer back to their QBDT records or reports generated before the migration. New, detailed payroll tracking will begin fresh in QBO from the point of migration forward.

Furthermore, I also highly recommend you get in touch with our QuickBooks Support Team. They provide live assistance via screen-sharing, allowing them to see your screen and guide you directly.
