Payroll posting as net pay in check register...i am used to the way quickbooks desktop posts payroll and not sure if it is posting correctly

why does payroll post differently to the check register in quickbooks online then in quickbooks desktop

It is important to note that there is no significant difference between the QBO payroll posting and the QBDT payroll posting, except for the interface. Although both platforms are different, they generate the same data information. The only difference between them is how the information is presented on the interface. When it comes to handling net pay, the process is the same for both QBO and QBDT. The net pay should be recorded as a credit in the bank register, while the corresponding payroll expenses should be recorded as debits.
