Question

Payroll question: an employee received a raise and need to go back to January to pay the difference for the pay increase. How to do that?

I am not able to modify the date to reflect Jan 1st to the 31st.

Thanks for reaching out to us, @sildia-decorides. I want to ensure you'll be able to record the pay increase for your employee to correct their payroll records, so I'll point you in the right direction.

 

In situations like this, a second paycheck is necessary to account for the adjustment. Here's how:

 

  1. Select Workers on the left menu and go to the Employees tab.
  2. Click Run payroll and select the pay schedule for the payroll you want to create.
  3. Select Continue, then enter the correct Pay period and Pay date.
  4. Click Create another check for (employee name) link.
  5. Enter the necessary payroll details and click Preview payroll.
  6. Select Submit payroll.
