Payroll was in processed status and the direct deposit was voided, but it still went through and was deposited to employee's bank account. Quickbooks shows that it was voided, but it still went through, so now I don't know how to correct, since there wasn't an adjustment.

Hello, @rodneydenise. I’ll provide some insights about your payroll and help you accomplish your goal.

Voiding direct deposit for paychecks depends on its processing time and payroll service. When a paycheck has been processed beyond its lead time, voiding it will only change the paycheck records and update the dollar amount to zero. That said, it doesn't stop a direct deposit from processing and doesn't return the funds to you.

Alternatively, we can also re-enter those checks when they need to be.

You can read through this article for more insights: Can I cancel Direct Deposit payments after they're sent?

You can also scan through this guide about reversing a direct deposit transaction that returns the funds to your account in case you need them for later transactions: Reverse a direct deposit.
