Question

Payroll was not directly deposited. Will need to cut checks. Second time this year. How can Quickbooks make this service more reliable?

August payroll has not been debited from the bank account. People have not been paid, although Quickbooks says that they have.

Let me share some details about processing payroll through direct deposit. 

 

Federal holidays can impact the direct deposit processing. You'll want to create paychecks 1 or 2 days earlier so that your employees are paid on time. Any checks approved after the deadline will be processed the next business day.

 

If your employees didn't get funds on the payday, most of the time, the direct deposit rejects and the money will be refunded to the business bank account within 2-3 banking days after the pay date. Also, I suggest contacting our Payroll Support Team to request a direct deposit trace.
