Payroll will not update

Anyone have an idea why my payroll will not update?  I tried to contact support and I can not respond.  I type and nothing on the screens.

@balancedbooksllc-janhinze  Absent any information, the most common cause would be a lapse in your payroll subscription or an issue with the internet on the device you are using Desktop on.

 

Is your subscription active?

Yes, my subscription is active.  Can prepare payroll for other clients.  Just seems a little strange to me.

I would like to know if you experienced any error messages during the process. Knowing this will help me investigate further and give you the correct solution if needed.

 

First, please verify that the internet cable is connected to your PC. You can unplug it and plug it back in. You can also reach out to your internet provider for any maintenance updates. Once done, update your payroll to the latest release again.

 

If the issue persists, we can use the QuickBooks Tool Hub to fix common problems in QuickBooks Desktop. Please remember to back up your company file first to keep your data safe.

 

Next, follow these steps to download and install QuickBooks Tools Hub:

 

  1. Close the QuickBooks application.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.6.0.8) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop). Note: If you've installed Tool Hub before, you can find out which version you have. Select the Home tab. The version will be on the bottom.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. Once the installation finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
