Payroll won't update

My intuit payroll won't update. I click get updates and it just sits there. I let it sit like that over night and nothing. I have read every article in ref to this situation. The tax table is not the correct one.  I got nothing.

Thank you for dropping by here in the Community. I'd be glad to provide a helping hand so you can update the tax table successfully in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

I'm not sure what steps you've already performed, but I want to share some basic troubleshooting to resolve the issue. If you haven't tried using the QuickBooks Tool Hub, please do so and run the Quick Fix my Program option.


This feature allows users to run our add-on software to self-identify update issues and fix them. First, you'll need to download the installer to start scanning for unusual behaviors in QuickBooks.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Download and install the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.
  2. Go to the Program Problems tab, then select Quick Fix my Program.
  3. Once it’s done, reopen QuickBooks and your company file.
  4. Download and install the update.

 

Also, problems when running updates in QuickBooks happen when your firewall or security settings block the process. I recommend you review the configuration and create rules for the program. Once done, you can close and re-open QuickBooks to refresh the existing data. You should be able to run the payroll update successfully without any problem.

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Click the Help tab at the top menu bar.
  3. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help
  4. Enter your concern, then hit Continue.
  5. Choose Get a callback
