Thanks for choosing QuickBooks Online in processing your payroll, jerry-varnado090. I know how difficult it is when the fund is deposited into the wrong account. I'm here to share some insights.

There are two possible outcomes in this situation. First, if the direct deposit payroll will be rejected, it'll be credited back to your bank account. However, if the incorrect direct deposit information you entered is active and valid, the process will go through.

Please note that changing the details after the payroll has been processed will not affect the direct deposit information. If the paycheck is rejected or the fund is returned, you can void and reprocess it.

I'd also recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payroll Support Team to help you trace and review the status of the direct deposit payment. They can provide additional information on how to handle this matter.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Enter Talk to a human, then click the send icon (type it again if prompted).
  3. When asked by the bot, enter Payroll Direct Deposit Issue.
  4. Select I still need a human, then proceed with Contact us or Get help from a human.
  5. Choose either Chat or Callback.

To ensure that you'll be assisted on time, please see our support hours.

Additionally, I've included these resources that'll help you fix common direct deposit issues or concerns in QuickBooks Online. This way, you'll ensure your employees are paid on time:
