QB Point of Sale split commission

Splitting the commission between two salespersons is a great functionality, jdobbser.

Currently, this option isn't available in QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale. As a workaround, I'd recommend manually splitting the commission on an individual item-basis.

Beforehand, make items eligible for commission. I'll show you how:

1. From the Inventory menu, choose Item List.
2. Highlight the item, then click Edit on the upper right.
3. Under Misc and Shipping, put a check on Earn Commission.
4. Click Save.

Once done, record the commissions. Here's how:

1. Select an associate name on the Make a Sale screen by clicking the Cashier/Associate button.
2. Highlight an item and select Edit to open the Item Information window.
3. On the Assign this item's commission to field, select the salesperson's name.
4. Repeat the steps for the other salesperson.

I'd also recommend sending a feedback request directly to our Product Development team to improve the features in the program. Please access your QuickBooks Desktop company to perform the steps below:

1. Go to Help, then choose Send Feedback Online.
2. Click on Product Suggestion.
3. Click on the drop-down for Type of Feedback and select Product Suggestion.
4. Select the Product Area.
5. Enter your thoughts and suggestions.
6. Once done, select Send Feedback. 

Additionally, I'd recommend running a report to track the commission. This ensures the details are accurate:

1. Go to the Reports menu.
2. Select Employees.
3. Click Commission.
