Hi there, @stpaulstreasurer.

I'm here to make sure you'll get to know why your system shows that you're being charged twice.

The duplicate transactions showing in your system in QuickBooks Online (QBO) are just system-generated. You can remove this payment fee to get rid of it from your records because it doesn't directly impact your accounts and simply appears on your reports.

Here's how:

  1. Open the Profit and Loss report, then click the payment fee amount. This will automatically show the breakdown of transactions.
  2. Find the duplicate payment fee and click again the amount.
  3. Once the transaction is opened, select More and choose Delete.
  4. Click Yes to confirm.

Also, if your bank account is connected to QuickBooks, you can go ahead and exclude those duplicate transactions. In that way, these charges are no longer included in your business's financial reporting, and they won't show up in any related account registers or reports.

On the other hand, since the option to get rid of these system-recorded fees is currently unavailable in QuickBooks, I recommend sending feature feedback to our product developers. They will be able to study your suggestion in this manner and perhaps use it in the future. Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  3. Type in your suggestion and click Next.

In addition, in case you want to review your accounts in QuickBooks to make sure they match your bank and credit card statements, please feel free to browse through this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Please don’t hesitate to leave a message if there's anything you need about payments and your transactions in QuickBooks. Always take care!
