when I try to enter time in payroll I get a 404 error

I'll help you get around the error, @oostbakery.

 

Let me share some insights on how to isolate this issue. I recommend logging out and logging back in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account to refresh the system. 

 

If the issue persists, I suggest accessing your account in a private or incognito window and entering your employees' time from there. This way, we can also check if this is a browser caching issue.

 

The browser uses cache data to help load web pages faster. However, when pilled up, it causes an issue that hinders the performance of your account. 

 

Accessing it via a private window helps us verify the cause as this doesn't save any cache files. To open an incognito window, please refer to these keyboard shortcuts: 

 

  • Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browsers)
  • Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)

 

If you're able to enter your employees' time, I recommend logging back in to your account via a regular browser and clearing its cache. Using other supported browsers also helps isolate this matter.

 

If this is not the case, I highly suggest contacting our support team. We've received reports that some users encountered the same error while doing the same task. This way, they'll add you to the list of affected users and will receive an update via email once this gets resolved.
