QuickBooks Online Payroll error
I was not able to run payroll this past period. I got an error message that I’ve never seen before and ive been using Intuit Payroll for over 20 yrs.
The error:
“Either the Repayment account, or its parent account, is an inappropriate account type. Please check the account types in your company’s Chart of Accounts.
I called for support twice and was helped by level 1,2 and 3 personnel and then was told that a technician would have to get involved to remove the error from our account. I was told that I would receive a call back both times and I never received a call back. We have a stand-alone payroll account that is not connected to any other intuit accounts and does not have options for “chart of accounts”.
I would greatly appreciate anyone’s help to fix this problem. Thank you.
