Hello there, @Muhammad Naushad Khan.
I'm here to share some insights about paying foreign-based employees using QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP), so you can manage your payroll transactions accordingly.
You can use QBOP by itself or have it added to your existing QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Adding payroll service to your QBO subscription is a great help in paying your team and managing your taxes. You'll be charged $4 to $10 per employee per month (depending on your plan) on top of your subscription rate.
However, to add a non-U.S. citizen or foreign-based employee in QBOP, they need to fill out an I-9 form to give you their visa and valid Social Security Number (SSN) info. Since the platform isn't accepting international bank accounts for direct deposit, you'll have to do a manual payroll to record their transaction. Then, send their pay through a third-party remittance service like Remitly.
If you wish to know more about hiring an employee that isn’t a U.S. citizen (referred to by the IRS as Nonresident Alien or NRA) and how you can exempt them from certain taxes in QBOP, please see this article: Set up your employee that isn’t a U.S. citizen.
Also, you may want to check out this article as your reference to guide you in setting up your payroll service in QBO: Get started with QuickBooks Online Payroll.
You can keep me posted on how it goes in the comments below. If you have other payroll concerns, I'm always ready to help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @Muhammad Naushad Khan.
