QuickBooks says, "you're all caught up."  But I'm not.  It is time to pay my federal payroll taxes, but there's no option to start my filing.  Can someone please help me with this?

Thanks for responding… I did everything you suggested, but unfortunately it did not fix the problem.

I used private browsing in Chrome and Edge and neither worked. I deleted all browsing history and cookies and that didn't work.

I attempted to call Support, but they were closed over the weekend.

I have a suggestion concerning Support… you need to let us make a phone call immediately and without having to get frustrated and beat the automated system up, grab it by the throat and shake it vigorously to stop it from trying to get us to do things solely online with a robot.   It was very frustrating saying, "representative, representative!, Representative!!!, REPRESENTATIVE!!!!!!!!"

anyway, I truly appreciate you getting back to me quickly and attempting to help and then coming back and checking on me. That was  truly appreciated!

I appreciate your time posting here in the Community!

I want to ensure you can file your federal taxes in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get this fixed.

There are times when the browser you're using has data issues, thus causing QuickBooks to act weirdly. To verify, let's log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

If this works, you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I suggest switching to a different supported browser.

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further check on this matter and provide in-depth troubleshooting steps to get this resolved. They can also open an investigation ticket if other users are experiencing the same.

Moreover, I'm adding this helpful article as your reference running payroll reports to view useful info about your business and employees, you can check out this article for more guidance: Run payroll reports.

Come back to this post if you have other concerns or follow-up questions about managing payroll in QuickBooks. I'll be around to provide further assistance.
