QuickBooks Time Tracking issues

My employee has accepted the invite and has the app, but he gets this message:  "Mobile time entry restricted. Contact your admin to change this setting or use our web experience."  Then in big letters:  Clocked out.

I've checked the "permissions" settings, and the option for "mobile time entry" is checked, but it's in grey, and I can't change it even if I wanted to.  (For comparison, the option to "View "Who's Working" for all team members" is a blue check, and I can change that if I want to...)

Anybody have any ideas?  Thank you!

Being able to clock in and out using mobile phones is so convenient, especially if they're outside the workplace. Let me show you how to change the settings: 

  1. Go to your QuickBooks Time.
  2. On the left side of your screen, click Company Settings.
  3. Select Time Entry.
  4. Uncheck the Allow team to manage their own timesheets.
  5. Hit Save
