Employee recipt scanning, how do you set up?

Let's add your employees as users, @edward-solomon.

 

Doing so allows them to use the receipt capture feature. You can only add limited users depending on your plan. For more details, please see this article: Learn About Usage Limits in QuickBooks Online.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Manage users.
  2. Click Add user.
  3. Select a user type.
  4. Click Next and choose the access rights for the user.
  5. Enter the name and email address.
  6. After that, click Save.

Once done, please have your employees accept the invitation. Then, inform them to install the QuickBooks Accounting: Invoicing and Expenses app on their phone to scan a receipt.

 

You can also look for a third application that offers a receipt scanning feature. 

 

Aside from scanning receipts, we also allow emailing your expense receipts and bills to enter them into QuickBooks Online.
