Remove Guideline 401 from deskop

I had Guideline last year and cancelled at the beginning of 11/2024. Now i am unable to remove the payroll item from employees payroll contributions (note we never contributed). I have contacted guideline and they confirmed it was cancelled. They told me to contact QB support and they said to contact Guideline. So basically i am unable to get help. I went to every possible setting i know of in QB to try to disable and get the messages per the attachment. I remove QB from the Guideline website. Even though it is cancelled when i run payroll it still syncs with Guideline.

Any advice how to get rid of it?

It appears that the sync between QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and Guideline continues despite the cancellation of your service last year. This situation can occur when payroll items remain active within QuickBooks even after associated services have been discontinued.

 

To resolve this, we can update your QBDT and the payroll tax table to the latest version. Then, use the built-in QuickBooks Payroll Checkup Tool to verify your current setup by scanning your payroll data for missing information and discrepancies.

 

To access the Payroll Checkup Tool:

 

  1. Go to the Employees menu.
  2. Choose Payroll Service Activities.
  3. Select Run Payroll Checkup.

It is partially fixes it, I am able make the guideline payroll items inactive through payroll checkup only and remove the item from employee payroll contribution items. Once i run payroll it magically re appears. Also Guideline continues to sync, that may be the reason it appears again. how do i stop QB from syncing with guideline?
