Removing payroll liability

I am trying to adjust a payroll liability payment frequency to (I don't need a regular payment for this item). This option doesn't show.

Hello there, @Clearview972. I'm here to help you adjust the payroll liability payment frequency in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

 

First off, let me discuss some information about this. 

 

In QBDT, there are Tax liabilities that can't be taken out from the payroll schedule once set up. This may be the reason you're unable to see the I don't need a regular payment for this item option. That said, this specific option is only available for items under the Benefits & Other Payments section (check the screenshot for reference).

 

 

As a workaround, you'll want to schedule the liability to annual to stop dealing with it as often or simply ignore the schedule. For more details, feel free to check this article: Remove or delete a scheduled payroll liability.
