There are no significant details on whether the payroll service will include Roth Simple IRA employee deferrals, JGB2.

Integrating the payroll item into the program will assist many users in more effectively tracking their retirement contributions. For now, I suggest sharing your ideas with our product development team. They can evaluate your feedback and may consider implementing changes in the next update.

    Here's how:

    1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
    2. Select Feedback.
    3. Type in your feedback and product suggestions.
    4. Click Next to submit them.

Additionally, you can check out this article to provide a detailed breakdown of your employees' wages, deductions, and tax information for a specific period: Run payroll reports.

I'll keep this thread open so you can comment with additional details or let me know if you have any follow-up concerns about managing your employees' deductions and contributions. Have a good one.

@Kevin_C  "Let’s pass this product suggestion on to our engineers for consideration in future updates."

I'm sorry, but did you just refer to this as a suggestion?

@2510357  I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but judging by the following thread, they haven't even caught up to the simple IRA change from months ago:

Thank you for showing interest on this, @angelal. I'll be providing an update regarding Roth Simple IRA employee deferrals inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Please know that there's no exact time frame for when this will be available in the program. Thus, I recommend sending a feature request to our Product Development Team. They'll review your suggestion and consider it for future updates. Also, when utilizing After-tax Roth 401(K) as a workaround, it's best to work with an accountant to ensure the accuracy of the recordings. If you don't have an accountant, I can help you find one. Feel free to visit this page: Find a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

You can also contact our Customer Care Team so they can help set up unsupported retirement contributions in QBO. Visit this page for more details: Get help with QuickBooks products and services.

On the other hand, you can check out this article in case you run payroll reports inside QBO and wish to add more information to it: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, Explore QuickBooks Payroll is now available to improve your experience and help you with payroll-related tasks. Also, with QuickBooks Payroll, our team can share tips and tricks on streamlining your payroll processes in the program.

Your response is essential as it allows me to strive to provide the best possible support when addressing QuickBooks-related concerns. The comment section is yours to utilize if you need me. Stay safe, and have a good one.

The Roth option within SIMPLE IRAs are currently available in several companies.  Quickbooks should update their software to accomodate this!!  This software is supposed to be cutting edge.  Not having this options really compromises things!  I hope they are working on this and will provide this option soon!
