We use QB Online Payroll and need to generate a history by employee showing starting pay and date as well as each raise and date (and reasons), and bonuses. The data is all there, but we have to sift for it by hand. Is there a report that can give us this?

I recognize your concern about tracking salary changes efficiently in QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP), slbradio. I'd be delighted to guide you to find this information.

Currently, running a report detailing the starting pay, increase, date, reasons, and bonuses is unavailable in QuickBooks. However, we can review separate reports to see those information. Then, manually record them in Excel.

First, run the Employee details report to see the starting pay and hire date. Then, pull up the Payroll summary by employee data to view the bonus. Lastly, check the Payroll details to check the increase. Also, ensure to filter the date. While this method involves navigating different reports, it provides a comprehensive data view.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. In the search bar, type Employee details, Payroll summary by employee, and Payroll details.
  3. Filter the date.

I want to assure you that we're actively considering user feedback like yours to shape the future development of our platform. It helps us improve the product and tailor it to your needs. I'll guide you on how to do it.

  1. Go to the Gear menu and then select Feedback.
  2. Type in your feature request in the description box.
  3. Once done, click on Next.

Aside from that, you can search for an app that helps generate employee's starting pay, increase, date, reasons, and bonuses. To do this, go to the Apps menu in your account and browse for apps that integrate with QuickBooks. You can also visit our QuickBooks App Store for additional reference.
