Setting up QuickBooks Payroll. Will not let me enter payroll for some employees

Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community, DragSmith 1. I'll share instructions to ensure you'll be able to enter payroll data for some employees without any issues.

When you're encountering pages that aren't fully loading in QuickBooks Online or has blank pages, there are some possible scenarios that may be causing the problem. Before we start to troubleshoot the issue, I recommend making sure that you clear your browser's cache and internet temporary files. Once done, let's start performing some steps by following the details below on how to fix the blank QuickBooks screen issue. 

First, one of the reasons why QuickBooks Online acts unusual behavior is your company name has special characters that are not allowed. QuickBooks Online will start giving you some problems with page loading and errors once this happens. You can click this article to see a list of characters that are acceptable in your company name to resolve the issue: Acceptable characters in QuickBooks Online.

Next, there are more adjacent dollar signs ($$, $$$, etc.) in any list or transaction data that would appear on the page that's not fully loading. If you enter "College $$" for instance in the check window’s memo field, the registration page will not load completely.

Then, you might view blank pages if you signed in to the application separately in the additional tabs. With this, you can follow these steps to see the correct way on how to work in more than one tab: 

1. While signed in to QuickBooks Online in one tab, go to the browser address bar and highlight, then copy the entire web address.
2. Open a new browser tab.
3. Paste the web address into the new tab and press Enter. Then, the home page of your company will now load in the new tab.
