Question

Several of my employees get a message "your employer has not given you access" or something to that affect. But it shows they have access in my QuickBooks.

This is for workforce.intuit.com or the workforce app.  We have chatted with QB support to no avail.  One advised me to turn access off and back on, sending them (one in particular) a new invitation.  We went through the whole process of creating them an account and still no luck.  We've verified that they are using the same email address we have.

We appreciate you reaching out here in the Community space, @greg89. We'll help you get through this so you can give access to your employees in Workforces.

It may have something to do with your employees' browser, and with that said, we recommend they perform some basic browser troubleshooting to rule out the possibility of having issues with their current browser. They'll want to access your account in an incognito or private browser. Feel free to use these shortcut keys:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

Once their in, try performing the task once again, and then if it goes through, proceed to clear their browser's cache. See this article for more details: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

They can also contact our Customer Care Team if it persists. This way, they can access your account and conduct further investigation to determine the root cause of the problem. Visit this article for more information: QuickBooks Online Support.
