Should seasonal employees use their temporary address or their permanent address (different states) on their payroll documents?

Business and temporary addresses are in NY. Permanent addresses are in PA.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll share details on how employees' payroll records work in QuickBooks Online.

 

Once your employee lives in a different location other than the primary company work location, you may be subject to additional taxes. That said, I suggest checking with your local city and state governments to see where your employees should be taxed for the state. With this, you're able to confirm what address should be used for setting up their payroll data for your employees for documentation purposes.
