So the only way to delete a payroll paper check is to call into IT?

Payroll taxes for the period are not even posted yet, let alone paid

You can delete a paper check in QuickBooks Online, sherry_pottorf.

 

There's a delete option when you want to remove a paycheck. You can follow these steps to remove the paycheck:

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Workers menu, then Employees
  2. Click the Paycheck list link. 
  3. Check the box of the employee's name, then click Void or Delete.
  4. Follow the on-screen instruction on deleting the check, and hit Continue
  5. Mark check the box and press Void paycheck.

The system automatically recalculates your tax liabilities after a check is deleted or voided. If you've already made a tax payment, you may end up with an overpayment.

If this function isn't showing up on your account, you need to contact our QuickBooks Live Support Team. They can delete the paycheck so you can create a new one when needed.
