Question

Somehow my pay periods changed in QB Online so I corrected them. Now even though I have a payroll to run, the system is not allowing me to run a payroll for my employee?

I think it is thinking I don't need to process a payroll since the pay period dates were incorrect for some reason?

I'm here to share more information on why you're unable to run payroll.

 

Yes, you're correct. It's possible that you've already run payroll prior to modifying the employee's pay period. Thus, the system won't let you create another payroll. If you need to pay your employees now, you'll have to create a paper check. You can check this article for the detailed steps to create one: Run payroll.
