Starting employment Nov 14, 2022. Monthly payment. Will system pay salary from Nov 14?

Let me share some insights about when your Payroll will start after setting up an employee in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll.

Regardless of the employment started on November 14, 2022. The payment schedule will follow depending on what date you have set under the pay dates. Also, it varies from your company policy and how the employee is set up.

If your employee is set as prorated. Then, you will have to amend the amount on the paycheck manually. This way, your employee will receive the correct amount that they worked. Otherwise, your employee will receive the whole amount, which is adequate for a month.

To change salary amounts, you can follow the steps below:

1. Click the + New icon and select Payroll.
2. Select the pay schedules you want to run and select Continue.
3. Mark check the employee and apply the necessary changes to the amount they should receive.
4. Review everything by pressing the Preview payroll. Once decided, you can click the Submit Payroll.
5. To finish everything, click Finish Payroll.
