State and Fed unemployment tax were created in error for an employee. how do we cancel these payments? They have not been paid?

Hi there, userdkhpers12. Let me get the help you need concerning payroll.

 

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can edit an approved paycheck from your most recent payroll. And it depends on whether or not you have already delivered the paycheck to the employee.

 

To know what you can and can't be edited, see this article: Delete or void employee paychecks.

 

However, if the employee received the paycheck, you can adjust the next paycheck to correct the previous one.
