In the meantime, let's configure your device's location settings on your phone or tablet. Ensuring the QBO mobile app can run in the background. Before proceeding with the following steps, make sure to enable Auto-Tracking.

For iOS devices :

1. Navigate your iPhone or iPad's Settings.
2. Scroll down and find the QuickBooks app.
3. Choose Location and select Always.
4. Turn on the Motion & Fitness, Background App Refresh, and Cellular Data options.
5. Close your settings.
6. If you see a message about background location use, select Always Allow. 

Please avoid selecting the While Using the App or Only While Using options, as these will limit the app's ability to track your mileage consistently.

For Android devices:

Since Android devices have slightly different operating systems, the steps vary by device. Kindly use Google's steps to ensure QuickBooks can run in the background.

If you have any third-party antivirus apps or memory-boosting applications installed, I suggest adding the QuickBooks mobile app to your approved or ignored lists within those applications. It prevents third-party apps from interfering with mileage tracking.
