Question

Tax resorts back to standard rate instead of combined rate

When I create an invoice using my QB online app (Android), it will default back to standard Texas rates @ 6.25%, instead of the combined rate of local and state being 8.25%. No matter how many times I change it, it will not add the combined tax rate.

Hi rockwallpest!

I can help you in fixing the sales tax issues on the QuickBooks Online mobile app.

First, we need to make sure that the QuickBooks Online mobile app is updated. Visit the Google Play Store and update it from there.

Then, let's clear and resync your data on the app to fix this issue. Click the Gear icon at the top left corner and select Refresh Data. Wait for it to load, then check the invoice.

You can also delete and recreate it if needed. Simply open the invoice, click the three vertical dots, then select Delete.

If the same thing happens, I suggest you uninstall, then reinstall the app.

I also included this article to see all features available on the app: Compare mobile app features.

Get back to this post if you have more concerns with your transactions. I'll assist you!
