The browser may be preventing to add your employee to the system. In this case, I've got some troubleshooting steps to get through this. This way, we're sure that what you're running into isn't caused by a cache or Internet issue, as this can affect QuickBooks processes on the server.

 

Let's start by switching your regular browser to a private browser to isolate this issue and run QuickBooks Online (QBO). Use these keyboard shortcuts to open one, depending on the browser that you're using:

 

  • Ctrl Shift for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift P for Firefox
  • Command Option +if you're using Safari

 

Once done, try to add your employee again. If this works, you may go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. With this, your browser will start a clean slate and load fresher data from the QBO server. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative. Each of them uses a unique cache.
