Question

The total sum of my contracted labor is not showing up as contracted labor expense. If I accidentally miscatagorized these expenses can I redo it?

Jason, we are delighted to have you back in the Community space. The Community is always here to provide you with information on how to address miscategorization in your QuickBooks Online account.

 

At times, you may accidentally match transactions incorrectly or categorize them into the wrong account. However, you can easily rectify this by undoing, unmatching, or moving downloaded transactions to the appropriate account within the program. Allow me to guide you through the process:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2.  Select Bank transactions
  3. Click the tile for the bank or credit card account you downloaded the transaction from.
  4. Select the Categorized tab.
  5. Find the transaction you want to unmatch.
  6. Select the blue transaction link in the Added or Matched column to see the matched transaction.
  7. Tap Undo from the Action column.

 

By doing this, you will disconnect the two transactions, and the original downloaded transaction will be moved back to the For Review tab.
