The Work Number

How do we utilize The Work Number from Equifax? I checked the Income and Employment Verification box in QB, but when I look up our company name in The Work Number from Equifax website, it cannot find our account. Is there something else I need to do to use The Work Number?

I can share some information about how The Work Number® from Equifax works, @wmjob.

 

If you're subscribed to QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced, your payroll subscription will include an automated income and employment verification service powered by The Work Number from Equifax.

 

When The Work Number receives a request from a verifier, the service checks with QuickBooks to see if there is a match to the employee whose data has been requested. Then, QuickBooks shares the relevant information with The Work Number to complete the request from the verifier. 

 

However, if your employee doesn’t want their info available to Verifiers, you can request a data freeze on their employment information.
