Trying to renew from the desktop account, click the renew button on the home page in the employee section, takes me to desk top payroll sign in and asks for email and password, then to verify information and it gives two choice, myself and my wife, no matter which one I choose it asks for email and phone number then takes me back to the original sign in page and then back to the verify page and then says contact QuickBooks because the information does not match...but its correct. I have also tried to renew straight from the email announcing that payroll had been canceled and it just takes me to the camps log in and that doesn't give you the option of renewing either. I just want to renew the payroll subscription.

I appreciate the steps you've performed trying to renew your subscription, @ICI Pest Control

Let me share some troubleshooting steps to get this resolved, so you can renew your subscription.

You can run the Verify Data and Rebuild Data utilities. The first utility identifies any errors and the second one fixes them. This ensures your company file is error-free and doesn't have any minor data issues.

To run the Verify Data utility:

  1. Go to File at the top menu.
  2. Select Utilities.
  3. Click Verify Data.
  4. Let the tool check your file for data issues.

To run the Rebuild Data utility:

  1. Go to File at the top menu.
  2. Select Utilities.
  3. Click Rebuild Data.

For detailed steps, go through this article: Resolve Data Damage With Your Company File

Once done, let's try to renew your payroll subscription again.

  1. In your QuickBooks Desktop company file, go to Employees, and select My Payroll Service.
  2. Select Account/Billing Info.
  3. Sign in using your Intuit Account login
  4. Under Status, click Resubscribe.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to reactivate your payroll service.

You can also renew your subscription by logging in to your QuickBooks My Account. Under Products & Services select the Payroll Subscription tile and click on Resubscribe.

You can refer to this article for more details: Reactivate your QuickBooks Payroll subscription.

However, if the issue persists, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Support Team. They have tools that can pull up your account securely and help you renew your payroll subscription. Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Click the Help tab at the top menu bar.
  3. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  4. Press the Contact Us option.
  5. Choose a topic.
  6. Click on Start a Message.

Hello I am also having issues trying to renew the payroll subscription.  I do not recall in the past being directed to this intuit login, I have a couple of QB logins/passwords so I tried those and it did not work.  It also reverted my email to an old email account that we no longer have, so I am sure if I did a password reset it will send the reset to that old email.  How can I update or reset the username and password?

When I go to:  Company>My Company>Manage My Account, I see the incorrect email address but no option to edit it.  It also has me listed with the correct email in another section.

Please help.

Hi there, AZLawncare.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. I appreciate you for sharing detailed information about what you've done to fix the issue. I'll make sure to share details and troubleshooting steps to ensure you're able to renew the payroll subscription accurately.

When updating or resetting a username and password in QuickBooks, you'll have to make sure that you sign in as the admin user. This is to make sure that you have the option to edit or the right to make any changes to log-in credentials.

I also suggest making sure that the billing details on the QuickBooks AM page are correct. Please refer to this article to view some details and to see how to perform the process: Manage your QuickBooks Desktop subscriptions and services. From there, you can manage your QuickBooks Desktop account and services in one area.

Once done, I reccomend updating your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release to keep your software up-to-date so you always have the latest features and fixes.

Here's how:

  1. Close your company files and QuickBooks.
  2. Open the Windows Start menu.
  3. Search for QuickBooks Desktop. Right-click the icon and choose Run as administrator.
  4. While on the No Company Open screen, go to the Help menu.
  5. Choose Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  6. Go to the Options tab. Then, click Mark All and select Save.
  7. Go to the Update Now tab and choose the Reset Update checkbox.
  8. Hit Get Updates.

For additional information, you can click this article: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.

Then, you can also get the newest payroll tax table in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll to stay compliant with paycheck calculations. Then, to avoid any issues when trying to renew your payroll subscription. You can open this article to see the process: Get the latest payroll tax table update.

Please refer to this article to view information on how you can validate your payroll service key in QuickBooks Desktop to ensure that your subscription sync with our server: Enter your payroll service or disk delivery key.

Let me know if you can get logged in and renew your payroll account successfully. I'll be here if you need further assistance. Have a great day!
