Trying to run payroll. DO not have the option to choose employees to pay or payroll week

We just transferred from desktop and I am trying to run payroll. I do not get he option to choose the employee to pay nor the week we are paying?

I'd be glad to help you and provide information to run payroll and have the option to choose an employee to pay in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

To start, you have to Set up, assign, and update a pay schedule for you to run a payroll.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Payroll, then Employees.
  2. Select your employee.
  3. From Employment details, select Start or Edit.
  4. From the Pay Schedule dropdown, select the pay schedule for the employee moving forward. Or, to create a new pay schedule, select + Add pay schedule.
  5. Fill out the appropriate fields. Then select Save.
  6. When you're done, select Save.

 

If you want to edit the pay period, you must select or enter the correct pay period ending.

 

In addition, ensure to update the Pay Method to Paper checks if you want to run payroll for weekly scheduled employees.
