Turning off emails from Quickbooks Workforce

I have been using QuickBooks Online along with the full service Online Payroll for about 5 years now.  I just noticed with the most recent payroll that emails from Workforce are being sent out to employees.  How do I turn off these emails?  I have already placed invalid email addresses in the payroll info for employees, but that workaround no longer works.

I have attached a screen shot of one such email.  Two things: first, the email was tagged as junk which suggests that other businesses out there besides mine do not want these emails.  And second, the "unsubscribe" link in the email does not work and results in the following message:

"Error Unsubscribing - An error occurred while trying to unsubscribe from this list"

It's great to have you here in the Community forum, eeei732a.

Once you add an employee to QuickBooks Workforce so they can access their pay stubs and W-2s, they will receive an email whenever you run payroll for them. If you wish to stop these emails, you can ask your employee to disable email notifications in QuickBooks Workforce since as an employer, you don't have the ability to do so. This way, they won't receive reminders every time a new pay stub is available.

To turn off email notification, here's how:

  1. Sign in to your Workforce account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon.
  3. Select Email Notification.
  4. Uncheck the Send me an email when new pay stubs are available box.

Alternatively, you can temporarily revoke their access to view their paychecks online. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu.
  2. Select the Employees tab.
  3. Locate and click the employee name to open the profile.
  4. Select Turn off Workforce access, from the Actions drop-down menu.
  5. Click Confirm to save the changes.
