Hello there,

We want to help you with your concern about running payroll. However, we need more information about the issue to provide a resolution and get this sorted out promptly.

Can you share more details about the error you're getting when running payroll? This way, we can help you complete the missing information. If you could provide a screenshot, it would greatly help.

Also, did you know your employees can edit some of their personal and tax info like name, address, and W-4 info through QuickBooks Workforce? I've attached an article you can share with them for future reference: Set up your QuickBooks Workforce account.

Please know that you're always welcome to post questions in this space. Have a great day ahead.

Hello,

it should have been a temporary QBO technical issue as the same operation done the day after didn't have the same warning. I didn't update nor made any change at any employee sheet (actually I tried to understand which was the missing informatin but with no success) and I was able to run the payrolls as I'm always be used to do.

Thank you

I appreciate you for coming back to the thread and clarifying your concern about receiving a warning for missing employee details. Let's perform troubleshooting steps so you can run payroll in QuickBooks Online smoothly.

I recommend logging into your QBO account on a private browser and running payroll from there. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue that might cause you to keep getting an unexpected error.

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If it works in incognito, I suggest clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above don't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.

Lastly, I'm adding this article to help you view payroll reports that you can use to see useful info about your business and employees in QBO: Run payroll reports.

Feel free to click the comment section below if you have other concerns with regard to managing your employee info in QBO. I'll be sure to get back to you. Have a good one, alessandro-topan.
