Update Direct Deposit Reminders

Quickbooks Desktop Question...

 

I haven't used direct deposit for years and do not intend on using it ever again.

 

Is there any way to stop getting reminders for me to update it? It is not selected in payroll preferences or on any employee account.

 

I thought it would stop once the deadline to update came and went, but now they have moved the deadline up to September. 

 

I contacted a rep by phone who was unable to answer my question on this.

 

I'm REALLY getting tired of Quickbooks invasive notifications hanging my computer up every time I open QB.

Hi there, @BDoolin. 

 

I'll help you get rid of the direct deposit reminder in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Notices are helpful on the system and suggest how to optimize your QuickBooks Desktop experience. We can hide them if you keep seeing these reminders over and over.

 

Here's how to turn off product and service pop-up:

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks and go to Edit menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Then choose General on the left-side panel.
  4. Click the My Preferences folder.
  5. Check the box next to Turn off popup messages for products and services.
  6. Once done, click OK.

 

Restart QuickBooks for this change to take effect.

I've had this box unchecked for years so this is not a fix that works for this problem.

I know how annoying it is if we can get various popups in our accounts. And I want to stop this from happening to you at the soonest moment. 

 

We do not have other option but to click X on the popup message to close it.

  1. Go to the Help menu on the upper right side.
