Update Wages for 1099 employees

Does anyone know how to update wages for 1099 Employees for last year?  Meaning, some of their wages are not included in the payroll system and I need to have them added prior to printing a 1099.  Any help?

I'm here to make sure that you can update wages for your employees, @lovealivechurch.

 

Since the update, you need to perform is for the 1099 employees last year. Then, you'll have to work this directly with the IRS to make a manual amendment to your 1099 forms. This way, the IRS can provide other steps on how to update wages so you can correctly fie the form.

 

Here's how to file the amended form:

 

  1. Order 1099-NEC IRS forms online at IRS Online Ordering for Information Returns and Employer Returns or over the phone at 800-829-3676.
  2. Fill out the 1099 form and be sure to select the Corrected checkbox.
  3. Once done, mail the form to the IRS.
  4. After that, mail the recipient copy to your contractor as soon as possible so that they can file their taxes.
