Vacation Accrual

Is there a way to limit the hours of vacation accrued per pay period for employees who work more than 40 hours per week.  I know there is a limit overall for hours that can be accrued, but I need to limit it per pay as well.  Is this possible without manual manipulation each pay?

Hello there, PTAS Misty.

I can share details about limiting vacation accruals for your employees in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Based on the information you've shared, you'll have to set up Every hour on paycheck as the accrual period to achieve your goal. Next, decide how many hours you would want your employees to get each year if they will be working a regular full-time schedule. Then, we'll have to figure out how many hours your employees would work in a year if they'll be working full time.

You can refer to this article for detailed steps on managing and setting up time off, vacation, and sick pay for your employees: Set up and track time off in payroll.

If you encounter issues with vacation accruals, consider checking out this article for further guidance on fixing them: Sick and vacation time incorrect or not accruing on paychecks.
