VT childcare credit for each paycheck and when the payroll summary report is run, they don't tie by pennies but it's causing out of balance to file/pay the monthly taxes.  I'm using Enterprise Solutions 24.0 payroll.

Tax rate updates can often cause differences between your paychecks and generated payroll summary reports, Jkgochey. I'm here to fill you in with further information regarding this topic.

In QBDT, the most recent VT childcare contribution tax rates and calculations are accessible by viewing or downloading the tax table. This allows us to confirm if these discrepancies are due to these updates. To do so, kindly follow the steps below:

  1. Open your QBDT company file.
  2. Go to Employees, then choose Get Payroll Updates.
  3. Marked the Download Entire Update, then click the Update tab. An informational pop-up window will appear once the download is complete.

Moreover, if the VT childcare contribution remains unchanged due to discrepancies often linked to QuickBooks' year-to-date figures. You can consider performing a payroll liability adjustment. This article provides a detailed guide to assist you through the process: Adjust payroll liabilities in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Additionally, if you encounter any errors upon acquiring the payroll tax table. You can refer to the Troubleshoot payroll tax table update errors of this material to fix them: Get the latest tax table update in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Return to this thread if you have further inquiries about the differences between your paychecks and the payroll summary report. I'll be here to answer them once I get a response.
